M^e Fontana’s role as mediator is neutral and impartial. She ensures that parties speak freely and openly about their needs and expectations.

The mediator does not decide on behalf of the parties. However, M^e Fontana is present and attentive to their needs to help and to guide them find mutually satisfying solutions leading to a mutual agreement.

Negotiations are held on the basis of respect and must be equitable and based on sound judgment.

Mediation is confidential and its contents cannot be used as evidence before a court.
